About DealBytes

What this site is

DealBytes tracks the price of PC hardware — GPUs, DDR5 memory, NVMe SSDs and shuckable external hard drives — and ranks each category by the number that actually matters: dollars per GB of VRAM, per GB, or per TB. The goal is to surface real value in a market where prices have stayed high.

Each tracker links straight to the retailer's live listing so you can buy at the current price. New products and retailers are added per-SKU as each link is verified.

Methodology

Each tracked product is checked against its current retailer listing about once a day, and we record the listed price together with the time we saw it.

Every price cell shows that timestamp. If a price is more than 24 hours old we hide it rather than present a stale number as current — and the "Check →" button always links to the retailer's live page so you can confirm the real-time price and availability before buying.

Color flags the value at a glance — green is a strong buy, red is a pass — on each category's own scale ($/GB VRAM for GPUs, $/GB for DDR5, $/TB for SSDs and hard drives). Lower is always better.
