Privacy policy
Updated June 2026
DealBytes is a static price-comparison site. We keep data collection to a minimum — here's the full picture.
The short version
DealBytes does not require an account, and we do not ask you for personal information. We do not sell personal data. The main privacy consideration on this site is the cookies set by the retailers we link to (e.g. Amazon) when you click an outbound link.
Information we process
- Server logs. Our host, Cloudflare, automatically processes standard technical data (such as IP address, browser type and pages requested) to serve the site and protect it from abuse. This is handled under Cloudflare's own privacy terms.
- No accounts or forms. We don't run user accounts, newsletters or contact forms that collect personal data.
Affiliate links & cookies
When you click an outbound "Check" link, the destination retailer — most often Amazon — may set its own cookies to attribute any resulting purchase to DealBytes so we can earn a commission (see our Affiliate Disclosure). Those cookies are controlled by the retailer, not by us, and are governed by their privacy policies, including the Amazon Privacy Notice. DealBytes does not set its own advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Your choices
You can block or clear cookies in your browser at any time. Because DealBytes runs no accounts, forms or tracking of its own, there is little personal data for us to hold; requests about data collected by the retailers we link to, or by Cloudflare, are best directed to them. You can always contact us and we'll help where we can.
California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
DealBytes does not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA), and we do not use your information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We set no advertising cookies and pass no identifiers to third parties. Because we do not sell or share personal information, we are not required to provide a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" link. California residents may still contact us at contact@dealbytes.net with any privacy question or to exercise applicable rights, and we will not discriminate against you for doing so.
Other U.S. state privacy rights
Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws — including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Utah and others — may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information and to opt out of targeted advertising or the sale of personal information. DealBytes does not sell personal information, does not engage in targeted advertising, and does not process personal information at the scale those laws regulate. Contact us with any questions.
Children's privacy
DealBytes is a general-audience site intended for adult consumers and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes & contact
We may update this policy as the site evolves; material changes will be reflected by the "Updated" date above. Questions? Email contact@dealbytes.net.
